T5 linear lamps are the latest triphosphor lamps to take center stage. Their slim, 5/8-inch diameter and smaller ballasts have given product designers a fresh concept for approaching energy-efficient lighting. T5 lamps are available in 14, 21, 28 and 35 watts and high-output versions come in 24-, 39-, 54-, and 80- watt models. Standard and high-output T5 lamps maintain more than 95 percent of their light output at 40 percent of their rated life (about 8,000 hours).
