CALCULATE LED ENERGY SAVING

Use the following calculations to determining energy saving for your LED bulbs. The higher the original wattage and longer time per day your lights are lit will exponentially increase your savings. Don't forget to figure in the savings from not having to purchase new bulbs every year!

Original Bulb Wattage – Replacement Bulb Wattage = Total Wattage Saved
Total Wattage Saved x Average Rated life/ 1000 = Total Kilowatt Hours Saved Over Bulb Life
Total Kilowatt Hours Saved Over Bulb Life x Energy Cost = Total $ Saved Over Bulb Life

LED SAVINGS EXAMPLE:

55W original wattage - 11W for LED bulb = 44W savings.
44W * 40,000 Hours/100 = 1760 KWH - Multiply your saved watts by your hours used to determine your kilowatt per hour.
1760 KWH *$0.11/KWH = $193.60 - Finally multiply KWH my your local utility rate.
