48 Watt LED Open Strip Garage Shop Light Fixture - 4 Foot - Ceiling Mount

Shop no more for an LED utility light. This LED Utility Shop Light strip fixture is bright, easy to install and is the perfect fixture for basements, game rooms, utility rooms, work shops, cabinets, closets, attics, and more! The fixture is designed for junction box mounting directly on the ceiling. It is made to be direct wired and can then be switched on with a light switch. The included LED tubes are extremely bright emitting 4000 lumens or the equivalent of two 100w incandescent bulbs though the fixture will appear much brighter because of the 4000K cool white color LEDs. The high-performance LED tube is rated to last for 35,000 hours, (about 11 years based on 12 hours a day 365 days a year) and extremely energy-efficient, so operating cost is much lower than a comparable fluorescent fixture. Save around $36 in energy costs per year based on 24/7 usage and .10 cents a kw. Best of all there are no light bulbs or ballasts to change.

How Bright is this fixture?

The fixture is very bright. It will feel brighter than a 2 bulb fluorescent shop light. Technically it emits 3600 lumens.

Can this fixture be plugged in or hardwired?

The fixture comes with a plug. If you want to hardwire the fixture to a switch or outlet we would recommend cutting off the plug. Electrician recommended for any electrical work.
