Delivery/Warranty Information

 
Terms and Conditions of the agreement are stated as follows:

1. Regarding special ordered items, they are not subject to cancellation or return! Special ordered items may only be returned if defective in which case the manufacturer may either repair or replace the item at their discretion. You may request an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) by calling 1-800-545-7778. No products may be returned without an RGA in writing! You may obtain one by clicking on the 'Contact Us' link on the top of the page and emailing us your request. Please Provide a complete statement of the problem in the comment box.
All new products being returned must be in their original factory condition. They must also be in their original box(s) or sleeve(s) with no other writing on them other than preprinted advertising  and information supplied by the manufacturer. The box(s) and sleeve(s) can not be torn, crushed or taped over. Any other requests for returns must be made within (5) days of the receipt and approved by Superior Lighting. A 20% restocking charge may apply. Credit will only be issued towards the purchase of other merchandise unless we find that it is not in resalable condition.

2. Products special ordered, used, altered, or with parts missing will NOT be accepted for return and credit will be denied! If we find that the number of pieces returned is fewer than what was listed on the RGA, our count will be considered correct. If you find that you have fewer or more to return, the RGA will need to be approved again by Superior Lighting and corrected copy will be issued to you. If you return more than what is authorized on the RGA, the overage will not be credited, replaced or repaired.

3. To avoid damaging the returned product, carefully pack it the same way it was received - double box using the original packing material. Place the items in the box the same way you received them so they are cushioned away from the sides of the box to avoid damage to the products by the shipping company.   All boxes must be taped securely. DO NOT TAPE OVER LABELS, ADVERTISING ETC. or a credit will not be issued. We cannot resell the product(s) if we feel they look used, damaged or broken. You may want to consider having a professional Pack and Ship store do this for you. If so, be sure to advise them of our packing specifications.

4. Superior Lighting and its manufacturers reserve the exclusive right to judge what is in "resalable condition" and what will be credited, repaired or replaced. All items must be returned freight prepaid or they will be refused! When you return the items listed on the RGA you agree to the written terms and conditions as outlined on the document and you have read paragraphs 2 and 7 on the back of your invoice regarding returns and warranties. They are also part of the RGA agreement. When you ship your returns back to us, we strongly recommend that you insure your product(s) for our invoice amount and ASK FOR A RECEIPT. Should your returns get lost or damaged, it is your responsibility to file a claim with the Pack and Ship company. You cannot file a claim without it. You will be responsible for paying us, not the Pack and Ship or carrier you choose to use!

Warranty
Our manufacturers solely warrant their products. The warranty is extended by our manufacturers to the original purchaser for use only. Our manufacturers warrant their products to be free of defects in material and workmanship at the time of its original purchase and for subsequent periods only where stated in this catalog.

What Will They Do?

All lighting fixture manufacturers recommend that their products be installed by an experienced, licensed electrician. If during the warranty period, the product proves defective under normal use and service; they will repair or replace the item at their discretion. It does not cover failure of the product due to misuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, alteration, modification, or adjustment. In the event the manufacturer repairs or replaces a product, it shall be warranted for the remainder of the original product's warranty period.

Regarding  special ordered items, they are not subject to cancellation. They may only be returned if defective, in which case they will be repaired and shipped back to you as soon as possible.

There are no other express warranties, whether written or oral, other than this printed limited warranty. All implied warranties, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this limited warranty. In no event shall Superior Lighting or it's manufacturers be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any nature whatsoever, including but not limited to lost profits or commercial loss. To the full extent those damages can be disclaimed by law. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage, or limitation of the duration of implied warranties, so the proceeding limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.

Important Information About the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

ADA as it pertains to wall type lighting fixtures:
Objects projecting from walls with their leading edges between 27” and 80” above the finished floor shall protrude no more than 4” into walks, corridors, passageways or aisles.
Buildings Affected:
Public buildings, places or public accommodations and commercial facilities, including condominiums and rental apartment buildings.
